The New Yorker and the Obamas

Reading Obama, the New Yorker, and the Death of Humormade me think that I ought to add something to the talk about the New Yorker cover. For some reason, I thought the depiction of Senator Obama was silly but the cartoon of Michelle was a hoot. She strikes me to be about as much a black militant as I would be a member of The Weather Underground.
