Good News from Columbus

Cummins to add 500 jobs - professional and engineering types - this year in Columbus. So reports The Indianapolis Business Journal:
The positions will be engineers and other professional employees. They will be located in a 100,000-square-foot building under construction in the Commons Mall redevelopment project.

Cummins currently has 5,500 workers in Columbus, plus 900 other contract workers.
I got to admire Cummins for keeping itself tied to Columbus and for what it has done for Columbus. Not unlike what the Balls did for Muncie. Local company staying local. Something we could use more of in Anderson.
