Change of Pace: The New York Times Reviews Books on Islam

Not much more can be said about the battle for the Anderson mayor's office now that Doctor Phil wants to get in the act: On a very special ‘Dr. Phil’: Anderson catches national attention for mayoral flap. My wife was so very sarcastic about this.

Instead, let's talk about something else, something lighter: Islam and the world. Sorry, I seem to be stuck in sarcasm myself.

The New York Times Book Review devotes itself to books on Islam. Having read Red, White, Blue and Green, The Early Days, Reading the Koran, Blind Faiths, The Clash, and The Lost Garden.

Take this as a positive use for the Internet. We who inhabit the boondocks have access to information once denied us except at a cost of time and money that lead us to not pursue that information.
