A little background, I am going to my office the evening of March 22 when I see this large bird on the sidewalk. I see it is a hawk and I go get the digital camera. The bird allowed me to walk up on it and so I started taking pictures.
If they are not terrible clear, I apologize. What you are seeing is an immature hawk feeding on a pigeon on the sidewalk of Eleventh Street between Meridian and Main Streets.
Such was the death of a pigeon.
