The Financial Planning Association (www.FPAnet.org or 800-322-4237) has 100 chapters across the country representing 28,500-plus members who provide financial planning services. The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (www.napfa.org or 847-483-5400) represents 2,000 fee-only planners.
