Yikes! Daniels Leading Long Thompson

A new statewide poll shows Republican Gov. Mitch Daniels leading Democrat Jill Long Thompson by a larger margin than previous polls suggested.

The South Bend Tribune/WSBT poll released today found that 53 percent of likely Indiana voters support Daniels while 41 percent support Thompson.

The poll of 600 likely voters was conducted by telephone Thursday through Saturday, and has a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.
