I ran across In election 2008, don’t forget Angry White Man in The Aspen Times News a while back but did not post on it - one more of my posts delayed by flu and work.
"There are many millions of Angry White Men. Four million Angry White Men are members of the National Rifle Association, and all of them will vote against Hillary Clinton, just as the great majority of them voted for George Bush."
I would say I am an angry white man. I did not vote for George Bush, though. Considering how angry I am at George W. Bush, I suppose I am also a bit angry at those other angry white men who vote for The Shrub of Crawford, Texas.
Mostly, I have feel sympathy for most of the bamboozled fools. Anger will come if they continue to shut their eyes and block their ears - the Republicans have done none of them any favors.
For all those NRA members who have had their jobs shipped out of the country thanks to Republicans and their economic policies - do you regret your votes?
For all you other angry white men who have had your homes foreclosed - do you think about the Republican policies that lead to the real estate bubble?
For all you angry white men, tell me where John Kerry was wrong about Iraq.
For all you angry white men, tell me where Al Gore went wrong about Bush's tax policy?
I am not a Clinton supporter. That is because I think Barack Obama is the better choice for our nominee. However, if Obama does not become the nominee, then the question is who is better for us: Clinton or McCain.
John McCain has some great qualities. However, he chooses to extend George W. Bush's policies. That makes the choice easy for anyone who sees that the past eight years have not been good for white men. That the party that incites fear and loathing in white men is the Republican Party and has sucked out the economic life for those same white men.
Real men have nothing to fear from Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama or the Democratic Party. Those males who are frightened by the thought of a Democratic President, are not real men.
