"A new Indiana University report indicates that 5,000 jobs — most of them in auto parts manufacturing — will result from what is called foreign direct investment."IU says about 140,000 Hoosiers worked for businesses in which foreign investment accounted for at least half the ownership.
Foreign majority-owned businesses represent 4.4 percent of private industry employment in Indiana, IU says. Indiana is 13th nationally among those types of businesses.
