Michael Gerson wrote the following as part of Hillary's Unappealing Path:
"Though it is increasingly unlikely, Clinton may still have a path to the nomination -- and what a path it is. She merely has to puncture the balloon of Democratic idealism; sully the character of a good man; feed racial tensions within her party; then eke out a win with the support of unelected superdelegates, thwarting the hopes of millions of new voters who would see an inspiring young man defeated by backroom arm-twisting and arcane party rules."The New York Times reports those superdelegates may not want their arms twisted.
All the talk about Obama being a lightweight, no proposals and all talk, sounds like whistling past the graveyard to me. E.J. Dionne kind of makes that point in How 'Inevitable' Got Outmaneuvered.
Want to know what Obama is proposing? Go here.
I guess I have been pretty tepid about my position. Put it down to my choices usually get beat. Let me be clear, then: Barack Obama is the best hope for the Democratic Party and the nation.
I notice Left in Aboite has been loading up on the Obama material. Check them out. And unlike this trifling blog, then manage to keep their humor and write about things other than politics.
