Muncie's Turn on I-69 Food Corridor

I wrote about Anderson and Madison County's place with The Indiana Foodways Alliance here. Today's Muncie Star Press reports on Muncie and Delware county today:

Local eateries ranging from Burkie's Drive-In to Vera Mae's Bistro are included in a new online listing aimed at promoting food tourism in Indiana.

Two other restaurants, Bird's Smokehouse BBQ and Eva's Pancake House, and stores Concannon's Pastry Shop and Lowery's Candies are also part of the Interstate 69 Long Horizons Culinary Trail on www.indianafoodways.com, an Internet site promoting Indiana "culinary tourism."

I do not see any report on this from The Herald Bulletin but maybe my RSS feed is not picking it up? Here is a nugget from the Muncie paper about the importance of this:

Food tourism is relatively inexpensive but effective, officials note, adding that for every dollar spent in Indiana restaurants, another $1.19 is generated in sales for other industries.
