Muncie Judgeships in Play

Yesterday's Muncie Star Press reported Robert Barnet, Jr. was not running again for judge, Longtime judge to call it a career:
"Barnet, 61, won't be a candidate for a sixth six-year term as judge in the May 6 Democratic primary, and will retire when his present term expires at year's end."
Too bad, one of the best judges I ever met.

Even more troubling is the spotlight being put on Judge Wayne Lennington. Last week the Star Press ran Judge admits he's target of criminal probe.
"Delaware Circuit Court 5 Judge Wayne Lennington acknowledged Thursday he is under criminal investigation for his connection to investment properties but denied any wrongdoing."
Being a grand jury investigation, it is all so secret.

All this has got Muncie lawyers (and its City Judge) looking for a judgeship, Attorneys pondering campaigns for judge.
