News: Anderson Mayoral Case

Sorry about the rawness, I just got off a long telephone call about the case:

1. Kris Ockomon is in the mayor's office. No one opposed him from taking over the office and starting his duties as Anderson's Mayor.
2. Kevin Smith reported for duty at the Anderson Police Department.
3. Seems Mark Regnier - plaintiff's attorney - claimed on television last night that Kevin Smith was governing in exile. See #2.
4. The facts will support that Ockomon living in Anderson before the drop dead date. He knew that he wanted to run for mayor and took the steps to get it done.
5. The City Attorney's office has been very busy and Tim Lanane is City Attorney and not Toim Chaille.
6. Kevin Smith's involvement with the filing of the lawsuit is open to debate but he is certainly backing it now.

Those are the high points of a rather long conversation. I am getting a copy of the complaint and hope to have it posted later this afternoon or early evening. Sorry, I got to go off and work now.
