I caught the beginning of Hardball last night and so got to hear Chris Matthews issue his apology to Hilary Clinton. Since I generally think of Matthews as a loudmouth jerk I was a bit surprised at what I was hearing. Surprised because I did not think he had it in him and surprised that he did not realize it was such a stupid thing to say. The Washington Post covered this apology in today's paper: Chris Matthews Backs Off 'Nasty' Remark on Clinton.
By the way, it seems to me that Matthews now spends less time running his mouth and more time listening and asking questions.
