"At the high school level, 38 percent of Anderson Community Schools tenth grades passed both the math and English portions of the exam. Pendleton Heights High School had 66 percent of tenth graders pass both sections, the highest rate in Madison County."
Among area eighth grade classes, Pendleton Heights Middle School had the best performance in the county, with 77 percent of its 294 eighth graders passing both sections. Anderson’s South Side Middle School fared the worst in the area with 31 percent of its eighth grades passing math and English.
Oakland Elementary School in Elwood had 79 percent of its third graders pass both tests. The school with the lowest passing rate of any grade level in the county was Anderson Elementary with 23 percent of third graders passing. Third graders were the youngest class tested.
