Some news on an Indiana Business

Having some experience with the funeral home business and with Ripley County, this is some big news from the Indianapolis Star earlier this week, Hillenbrand sets spinoff timetable.
"Hillenbrand Industries on Monday provided details on its plans for splitting its two businesses -- one making hospital beds and the other caskets -- into independent publicly traded companies."

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Hillenbrand said the casket business will operate under the name Hillenbrand Inc. after the split. That stock will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol HB.

The hospital business, to be called Hill-Rom Holdings, will trade on the NYSE under the ticker symbol HRC, the company said in the filing.

I think Hillenbrand is the largest employer in Ripley County.
