Evansville, I know, has a couple of advantages thanks to its geography. The questions we need to asking are these:A new intermodal facility in Gibson County would result in large economic benefits for Southwest Indiana, a consultant told a group of Evansville-area business leaders Tuesday.
A 2005 study commissioned by the Gibson County Chamber of Commerce found a market exists for such a facility, which would be used as a transfer point for goods and commodities distributed by rail and truck, said John DiDomizio, business development director for Morley and Associates.
- Has anyone been thinking of Anderson and Madison County for an intermodal facility?
- If not, why not?
- If we are not suitable, then why not?
