Debs for President

A Hoosier does enter the 2008 Presidential race. Well, sort of. From today's Washington Post:
The real Eugene V. Debs passed away in 1926, after five unsuccessful bids for the presidency from 1900 to 1920. But actor Brian Pickett is staging a modest, mock presidential run in his name, starting with Wednesday night's campaign kickoff in a tiny, crowded bar in Manhattan's East Village.
The article provides an interesting look back at the Hoosier who most persistently pursued the Presidency and (if memory serves) still holds the record for most votes given to a third party candidate.
