Terri Austin cannot make up her mind on SJR 7

The Indianapolis Star reports that the House Rules and Legislative Procedures Committee will take up the gay marriage amendment today. Terri Austin who represents part of our local area gets quoted:

"I'm not ready to make a commitment yet on whether I want to take the second sentence out or not," said Rep. Terri J. Austin, D-Anderson. "I can't say how I intend to vote at this point."
Come on, Terri. Why are the Democrats playing so coy? Are we so scared that the reaction to nay vote will be a rising of the voters? Do we really think that this is what the people of Indiana want? Or just a very loud-mouthed minority? Does anyone besides Eric Miller and his crowd think this is necessary for the good the state?

I know Mrs. Austin found herself targeted last Fall and so she may not be a bit gunshy. I think she underestimates the true interests of the area if she thinks we want this amendment. Of course, it would help if those who say they oppose this amendment support those voting against the amendment.
