A Muncie independent start-up company, Afterimage, was also a nominee. Afterimage is a GIS (geographic information system) consulting firm overseen by Paul Shanayda and Brian Hatton.
"Everybody in Muncie works really hard to get a good number of nominees in," Allison Buckner of TechPoint said Thursday. "Ball State did an outstanding job. They sent in 10 nominees this year."
