The Indiana 21st Century Research and Technology Fund was created in 1999 by the General Assembly to stimulate the process of diversifying the State's economy by developing and commercializing advanced technologies in Indiana. The enabling act created a Board, representing most of the academic and commercial sectors of the State, which establishes Fund award and review policies, and approves awards.
The Fund makes awards in two broad categories: Science and Technology Commercialization and Centers of Excellence. In addition, the Fund provides cost-share on behalf of Federal proposals submitted by Indiana-based entities
On the other hand, it is a bit disconcerting that the News and Events page is pretty barren. Also, there has not been a board meeting since July. Maybe because Mighty Mitch is not so much interested in 21st century projects but in building toll roads?
