The Indiana 21st Century Research and Technology Fund

I know I have made a few comments about the dismal Indiana economy and the even more dismal Anderson economy. Well, I was brought up that just complaining does not solve anything. That if one cannot help, then get out of the way. In the spirit of helping, I want to introduce you to the The Indiana 21st Century Research and Technology Fund. Here is how the Fund describes itself:
The Indiana 21st Century Research and Technology Fund was created in 1999 by the General Assembly to stimulate the process of diversifying the State's economy by developing and commercializing advanced technologies in Indiana. The enabling act created a Board, representing most of the academic and commercial sectors of the State, which establishes Fund award and review policies, and approves awards.

The Fund makes awards in two broad categories: Science and Technology Commercialization and Centers of Excellence. In addition, the Fund provides cost-share on behalf of Federal proposals submitted by Indiana-based entities

On the other hand, it is a bit disconcerting that the News and Events page is pretty barren. Also, there has not been a board meeting since July. Maybe because Mighty Mitch is not so much interested in 21st century projects but in building toll roads?
