Muncie Gets Stimulus Funds - What About Anderson

I have seen no news of this in The Anderson Herald Bulletin but only this from The Muncie Star Press: Muncie nets $2.1 million in stimulus funds.

"Delaware County is slated to get $2.1 million in the first wave of locally targeted stimulus money.

The money -- part of $177 million made eligible to Indiana this week from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development -- can be spent on public housing, homelessness prevention and community development projects.

The funding is from the massive stimulus package signed into law this month.

The largest chunk for Muncie -- $872,488 -- is designated for the Muncie Housing Authority. The money can be used to modernize or develop public housing but can't be spent for operations or rental assistance."
